Amanda Frost works on behalf of the "What we do in the daytime" forum, which looks at work, money, education and day services.

We work with the Learning Disability Partnership Board group on:

   *Our Parents and Carers' day

   *Person Centred Plans

   *Direct Payments

“My Life, My Way”

On Friday 7th March 2008 we had a day on Person Centred Planning called “My Life, My Way”.  Over 70 people came, and it was a really enjoyable day!  We learnt about Person Centred Planning and how it has helped people’s dreams come true.  We got a chance to think about what our dreams and gifts are, and what we want for the future.

“My Life, My Choice Day”

We had a day in April 2007 so our members could hear about direct payments and how they can help people be more independent.  We also heard about the ‘In Control’ project that is being piloted in Bournemouth.

"Person Centred Planning"

We have been working with our members on " Person Centred Planning".

A few of our members have had successful PATH plans which have supported them to move to new independent homes.
